There is not an ounce of Integrity left in any Republican. Zero.

It's sad when an entire party has to stoop beneath the level of the lowest whims of a malignant narcissist.

This represents the inevitable progression of a political party that chose to vilify its opponents rather than embrace their diverse viewpoints and experiences. Through years of fear-mongering and exploiting identity to cultivate blind allegiance, the GOP has transformed into a faction unwilling to uphold the fundamental principles of democracy. This radicalization serves as a damning indictment of the Trump-led GOP and the extremes of the contemporary conservative movement.

In addition to claims of voter fraud being GOP pretext for a coup, it’s also a projection and white noise to cover up GOPS very real attempts to steal elections via brooks brother riots, radical judges(alito, Scalia, kazmyrik), and voter disenfranchisement. if GOP is always screaming about voter fraud, no one will listen when Dems bring up voter purges, long lines, closed polling stations, felony disenfranchisement of mostly black people for simple drug possessions or due to false convictions, and the myriad ways the GOP tries to stop Dems from voting.

This is a good rundown of it, I'm just at a loss to speculate as to what the pretext would be for a mass denialism on the scale of 2020's should a 100,000 or so swing state voters make the right choice again this year and Biden prevails in the electoral college as he rightfully should.

Really only a small fraction of the Republicans in Congress actually believed the QAnon conspiracy nonsense about Dominion and Venezuela and all that, so the McCarthy-Scalise-Stefanik-Hawley-Cruz scumbags had to work for weeks to come up with the "states illegally changed their voting laws" excuse because making it easier to vote during a pandemic somehow equated to Biden's win being illegitimate. Now maybe I'm overthinking it and should Trump lose they'll just say the same thing again, but I'm having trouble imagining that too just given its staleness.

Well, not going to rip my hair out over this. I'm sure they'll come up with something.

Trump and his cohorts are liars, plain and simple. If they lie enough it will become or be taken as the truth. The comment regarding the Republican “complainer” was spot on: If the election were fraudulent, and you won, does that mean that you didn’t actually win? And I’m thinking that these Bozos (with all due respect to Bozo the Clown) need to brush up on their math skills. While they complain about so much “voter fraud” they don’t have a clue that the chances of substantive fraudulent voting overturning any election is so slight and the chances of changing the results are nearly impossible. They think if they continue to cry “foul” that it will change the results. It didn’t in 2016 (when Trump fairly won) and 2020 (when Trump resoundingly lost) and it certainly won’t in 2024.

I have been saying for over 4 years that it is clear that Trump will not accept not winning. I am also seeing the parallels to Adolf Hitler and the role his fellow Republicans are playing, which is why I dub them "The Goebbels Brigade" because he was Hitlers talking piece, and he made excuses for Hitler, lied for Hitler, and told the German people things were going well when they were not. Nikki Haley just announced she will vote for Trump. Whether or not she actually does, does not matter, because she is saying the same lies as all the rest of them. She just made her entire half year or year of campaigning meaningless. The people who are behind Trump and voting for him are walking right off a cliff and taking everyone else with them. I believe Trump will put people to death that he does not like, just like Hitler, even if he is not saying that now, because he does not want them to have a chance to leave.

Oh lord, more diatribes on mail in voting. Those who decry it have clearly never read the security measures in place to prevent fraud. My state has had mail in voting for donkey's years and only a couple of instances of fraud.

"Stuffing an unsecured ballot box" gets you nowhere--each ballot has a unique number and that number can only be counted once. The main thing that an "unsecured ballot box" can receive that might affect the ballots would be stuffing a bunch of loose dog poop into it. And in fact the boxes are, whether or not covered by a camera, very solid and the ballots are collected each day by an ARMOURED vehicle.

"Stealing a ballot from a mailbox" only works for people who have exemplars of the mailbox owner's signature and are VERY good forgers. Anyone can check whether their ballot has been counted and complain if it has been and they actually haven't yet voted. (The ballots are counted as received but the totals RELEASED only after polls close on election day). There is an extensive procedure to be sure that those who check the signatures never see WHO the voter chose.

(ON ID--my driver's license is nearing the end of its 10 year term. The picture looks nothing like me. My signature, on the other hand, hasn't changed in 60 years--I have checks from my 20s to prove it.)

We need way more universal mail in voting that is protected in the way ours is.

Incredible how low the Republican party has gone. They must know what a fraud Trump is and how terrible they look supporting him. Marco and Lindsey are such sellouts.

“We all know, intuitively, that a lot of illegals are voting in federal elections,” Johnson said.

Intuitively? Seriously?!?! We no longer rely on facts or data? I guess this is consistent with “alternative facts,” “fake news,” “do my own research,” “anti-vaccination/science.”

Not to sound like a Boomer, but I remember when civics, critical analysis, scientific method, and the importance of primary sources was taught in schools. What have we become?!?!

And I don't think that Johnson is actually smart enough to know better. Anyone who says the Bible defines his worldview isn't all there.
