I saw a meme today, that is true.

"When the richest people on earth tell you that the real problems are pronouns and wokeness, they are trying to distract you from something."

But what if Trans is *not* Gay Rights 2.0?

Trans destroys the data category of sex-

The UK (Labour) and Europe are reconsidering "Gender Affirming" care for teens. When will the USA start to question Gender Ideology?

Why don't American liberals care about men defining what is a woman and then defining themselves as women to access women's "safe spaces" from men, like women's prisons and rape crisis centres?

The GOP now claims this as a bedrock issue because the Dems have vacated the field.

Ken Paxton--who really should be in jail by now...hasn't he been under indictment more than long enough?--is a cockroach whose only apparent purpose in this life is to support his sadistic & evil boss, Gregg Abbott.

Ken Paxton is a prime example of the democrat and media's inability or unwillingness to expose and takedown republican serial crimers in high places. There should have been be a relentless, incessant , inescapable campaign to spotlight Paxton's myriad legal and ethical transgressions and bring him to justice. He is the epitome of a corrupt, immoral, lawless public official. There is no misstep too small to warrant consequential persecution of a dem. There is no malfeasance egregious enough for a republican to face consequences.

Paxton is hardly an unknown, and his “legal and ethical transgressions” have been repeatedly exposed. Conservative voters in Texas simply don’t care.

If you had $100,000, the amount wouldn’t even be two cents.

Texas was founded by slaveholders who wanted to live outside Mexican law that prohibited slavery.

Ken Paxton should be in jail

I think we should refer to this process as legalizing political rape. Texas aims to thrust its ultra right wing agenda deep into the heart of all of our states, “whether they like it or not.” And they have the judges to pull it off.

My message for the disgusting Pen Paxton (who is a criminal in office)- stay out of my state of Washington! If I wanted to live in a state that was run by narrow minded people I would move to Texas- and that is never going to happen (my apologies to the decent individuals of Texas, including my sister!). I will never understand why we cannot allow others to simply live their lives in peace.

“This latest lawsuit is, to be clear, one of the more repugnant ones that Paxton has filed”. Really, Lisa? That’s a pretty big call. I guess you’d know better than me (a non-lawyer in Australia) but I reckon his top 10 must be really, really repugnant. But I totally agree trying to force other states to pander to your home grown bigotry absolutely stinks.

At risk of offending devotees of sport, it seems to me the fight over a few trans athletes in women’s sport is pretty small beer in the broader trans-rights struggle. As this article shows, a very small number of trans people will be harmed and when it comes down to it sport…is just sport.

Compare that to the criminalization of gender affirming care in 20+ US states. Literally tens – perhaps hundreds - of thousands are affected, and their whole lives upended. We’re not talking participation in running races here. It’s close to an existential issue. These people seem to think that trans people don’t or shouldn’t exist. Several Republican lawmakers have spoken about banning gender affirming care for adults. For some reason this party really has it in for trans people, has a hearty appetite for legalized bigotry and decent Americans need to be ready for future horrible policies.

I say we keep our powder dry for the really important fights.

I agree but spotlighting this case shows just how insincere Paxton is on this and probably many other “culture war” grievances

No need. Exposing the R view on trans is crucial

Rs are coming after all ‘non-white, non-feminine’ women, first. Soon after, gay marriage will be overturned. Then, after a few court cases, the remaining women will lose rights to vote, work, own property, businesses, etc.

White, evangelical males, only. (Congressional Committees, anyone?)

The Court will gut Amendments as needed.

It’s open season on modern, pluralistic society. There are ways to fight back. The topic must be raised, so talk about it everywhere. Women, have a plan.

Paxton’s trying to make his transphobia the law of the land. And right wing judges will help him do so.

10 out of 510,000. I've long said if you happen to know a trans person, you're lucky because the odds are against you. It's beyond sad what these elected officials consider a priority.

Next up: Ken Paxton argues that athletes with darker skin have an unfair advantage and should be banned, their medals stripped.

Paxton borrows from the Nazi playbook. A friend recently suggested that we try to force Texas to become two states, like Texas and East Texas, with the more red Panhandle being its own state, and then allowing the rest of the state to be purple and perhaps Blue. He was suggesting this as was done with Virginia. Could that happen? I don't know. Maybe the most red part would want to be its own state.

Texass…. LOL failed rebellion

I'm a liberal in most things, but I fail to understand why progressives waste their oxygen on this "war" about trans women competing in women's sport. All anybody is looking for is a level playing field. A male-born trans woman, with all the physical advantages of their birthright, competing against female born contestants, is not a level playing field and I fail to see how it ever could be. The ultra progressive wing of the Democrat party, having gotten themselves hoisted on this particular petard, have cost and are costing themselves at least enough votes to have beaten Trump in 2024.

If you don't believe that repeating the same experiment, over and over again, and expecting a different result is a definite indication of insanity, then, by all means, carry on.
