In Trump v. US, John Roberts said that the Constitution requires an energetic, vigourous president. He said that means the person occupying the office cannot be prosecuted for crimes committed while being energetic and vigorous. He now says the judiciary cannot protect anyone from that energy and vigor. If Trump can send people to vicious jails overseas to evade judicial protection, Roberts and the Trump Clique have put us all at risk.

John Roberts and the Trump Clique he leads are personally responsible for all of this.

In other words, Did Roberts want to protect the Constitution, or not?

I’ve read so much bad news today per usual. The only bright light in it all is the regime’s incompetence. I should also note I am somewhat comforted by Harvard’s stance. The only solution is impeachment of this entire malevolent administration. The resistance needs to markedly intensify. Looking forward to 4/19 here in SF.

Feels like the tide might be finally turning or am I just desperate for any hope?

I'm in SF, too. Do you know of actions on 4/19 other than the always-great Tesla Takedown? I haven't seen anything and I've looked.

I’m not sure who I replied to Caroline because I don’t think I see my response here. So here it is again.

There is one closer to me in HMB at the beach too.

I have found Reddit-r/SF as best resource for something other than Tesla and also signed up for local Indivisible events.

Chief Justice Roberts has proven over the years that he is moved by racism (he has reduced the Voting Rights Act to near insignificance) and elitism (Citizens United gave rich men the right to buy politicians and justices). Here, elitism has given rich boy Trump nearly all he wants and in return … the scorn Roberts deserves.

Sadly, the rule of law has been reduced to absolute insignificance as a result.

We are in this situation because chief justice robert's primary objective has never been to protect democracy. He was among the first if not a founding member of the federalist society - the architects of P2025. WTF did he think was going to happen?

Sad SCOTUS — cosseted by their wealth and lifetime appointments, it feels free - at least the men do - to ignore the people to whom its decisions apply. They care only about their own exalted image than their affects on real people.

Robert's took a bad situation and made it 100x worse with the weasly, mealy mouthed first decision. We really may as well dissolve the courts at this point, just send all decisions to Roberts et al and let them issue one mild rebuke after another while we descend into hell.

The 6 SCOTUS GOP ‘judges’ are tools of an authoritarian regime and a rogues gallery of weaselly traitors and disgraceful turncoats. They should all be disbarred immediately

The remedy for this is required. My thoughts are not good on that, and reflect my impatience when there are torture and abuse being condoned.
