Sorry I'm being dense but why is this a “why can’t they both lose?” situation? Why do we want the Brazilian government to lose? Or is it someone else who is supposed to lose?

Edit: i.e. Paradox of Tolerance, if we allow speech that threatens tolerance (liberty), we lose liberty.

We shouldn't tolerate speech that is an existential threat to free speech itself.

There’s “free speech” and FREE speech.

Musk is free to say what he wants.

Xitter or any broadcast system shouldn’t be allowed to amplify one persons speech as if it were millions speaking.

It’s not censorship. He still gets to say whatever he wants without going to jail. He just can’t pretend that he & his bots are in the majority.

Musk plays by the 'his social media platform, his rules' game. But the world is just taking their ball and going home! We all understand censorship is a slippery slope but we also have seen how allowing the agitator radicals on either side to rant about ruling the people instead of representing them on these new megaphones of the 21st century is detrimental to our overall freedoms. Propaganda works. Why else would they put so much effort into it? Telling lies works. Trying to fix it after the fact with the fact checks is too little too late.

QEloon, aka Leon, is proof that money doesn’t buy intelligence. He’s never run a company him else until Twitter, and quickly he detoured 3/4 of its value. He took credit for what others did at Tesla for a decade, after basically stealing the company from its founders, Tesla, and spacex workers at higher positions will readily tell you he offers nothin except chaos while telling everyone only he did it. Just like his hero don the con. Will be a dramatic fall for Qeloon or he will go the jim jones way with his kult.

Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely. As as a psychologist, I am talking about Musk's mind.

The Guardian just noted a recent study predicting Musk will be a Trillionaire by 2027 if the US government lets him. The bulk of his wealth hinges on government contracts. WTF? Is the US government as sleepy as Biden? Are the MAGAs that reactionary? Where is SEC and FTC?
