I might not be stressed if I thought the Supreme Court was relevant on this. Without Congress to demand the rule of law, and without the Executive to enforce the rule of law, there is no rule of law. The Court can say anything (& much of what Trump does is for show WWE-style) … it’s up to The People to act, now. Local governments and groups, along with everyday people: time to step up.
Hitler got away with it because he had total control of the press. Total control of the media was critical to the success of P2025 also. However, they have lost that battle, thanks to outlets like this. And they will lose the war.
I hope that the judge has an experienced lawyer. The government case is weak, as Lisa's article here, and one by Joyce Vance, evince. Perhaps Bondi and Patel think they can inspire fear, but there is a greater chance that they will inspire courage and standing up to illegal acts by people who seem to have slept through law school.
The judge also has grounds for a libel suit against FOX where a commentator implied that she was having an affair with this particular illegal immigrant. He made it up to smear her.
Here is what Ron Filipkowski reported in "This Weekend in Politics," Bulletin 119:
… Fox host Greg Gutfeld insanely speculated on air that the judge in WI who was arrested for obstruction by ICE may have done it because she was having an affair with the immigrant: “Maybe this judge has a backstory with this illegal. Could it be it is not just the gavel that she is banging?”
Bondi's behavior in all of this was particularly offensive. She's dangerous, a true believer, won't stop at anything to fulfill whatever she believes Trump's directives are. They could probably win this fight (over Immigration) if they reined in their desire to inflict maximum cruelty and pain on (at this point) anyone not a natural born citizen (preferably of natural born citizens, preferably white).
But they just can't seem to stop themselves and thus we're subjected to spectacle after spectacle, toddlers with cancer being deported, men sent to prisons in foreign countries for (evidently) life for the crime of having tattoos, students on valid visas being sent to immigration prisons in the deep south, tourists detained, and, now, judges being arrested for the crime of opposing turning courthouses into ICE arrest arenas.
How odd—America under Trump is becoming the USSR under Stalin, Russia under Putin. Show trials preceded by show arrests … without deference to the rule of law or its procedures.
Next up: Lines for bourbon (can’t sell it anywhere else!) in front of the federally mandated liquor stores.
They are experiencing a sugar-high (a giddy djt specifically, Heritage Foundation is hopeful and crossing its fingers). Since djt doesn't care about anything but himself (personal wealth comes second, personal reputation maybe third), it's hard to see what would be an effective action for a group or any individuals to make. We can't appeal to his moral, community, humanitarian senses - he has none. He knows what they are, but only "losers" listen to those senses. His cheering squad will take the next 4 - 8 years to get that there's something going wrong with their "beautiful" plan.
Thank you so much for this powerful "wake up!" article. Sharing.

Nice educational piece. Thanks.
