Every word of this is spot on, Stephen. All I can say is that I'm with you and, even more importantly, the Harris-Walz campaign is too. They've beefed up their legal teams against this fuckery.
One of the issues I had with Biden was that, IMO, he really wasn't seeing the scale of the threat.
A great theme of this newsletter is "authoritarianism." Authoritarianism has been defined in the dictionary as strict obedience to authority at the expense of personal freedom. There has been no institution more committed to strict obedience to authority at the expense of personal freedom than the American judiciary from the Supreme Court on down. Harris vs Biden will come and go with a four year cycle, whereas the judiciary stays until the people demand that it be overhauled. Here is a newsletter that documents this reality entitled: The Supreme Court buries professional misconduct: https://therunnymedereport.substack.com/p/the-supreme-court-buries-professional?r=3tdx2w
Perhaps it is time to ignore Trump and concentrate on creating a lopsided victory for Harris-Walz as well as contests up and down the ballot. We all know Trump is a serial liar and can use that fact to counter his idiocy.
Please read Joyce Vance’s column today on what’s happening in Georgia. 4 years ago our Republican Secretary of State’s and Governor’s offices did their job, admirably against such pressure by Trump, but Trump cronies on the State Elections Boars have just passed a rule to allow local elections officials to delay or deny certification of an election if they have concerns about the outcome. Pack local election boards with Trumpers- not hard to find in many parts of the state- and now Georgia’s election would be “officially contested” and either denied or delayed. I’m terrified there won’t be principled folks who can stop this in November.
Well said. I was glad to see that the Harris-Walz team has engaged Marc Elias to help them fight the election denial they know will come. I'd also really, really like to see just one member of the press, when asking questions of Trump or any Republican who talks about election denial or voter cheating, to simply say "Prove it". And to keep saying this when the person they're talking to does a word salad. Don't state facts, they've all been said before, just say "Prove it".
What Trump is promoting when he says Harris staged a coup against Biden is a version of the Great Replacement Theory. She switched out a Black-Brown women for a White man. This is the nightmare of all nightmares for racists, misogynists like Trump and his MAGAs. So, his dog whistle is blowing, but the Dems are coming right back. It really comes down to Trump building up storylines that the Supreme Court can try to use if they hand him the election in various states after Kamala wins them. So, if they do that, I am hoping Biden overrides them as Chief Executive and Commander in Chief. Call out the military and remove the ones who do this. I don't actually see Biden doing this, but I think he should not turn over the White House to Trump if he does not win fair and square.
Great Job on this Stephen. His Story gets Older everyday, his "rants/rallies" are so repetitive and predictable it is both boring & disgusting. This "man" is old, angry and pathetic BUT those that have the position or stage in the media to Say exactly who he is and what he is won't create the Headline or Story to Echo this.
For the last year, it was no problem to talk about Biden's age and his apparent slowing down...Well how about doing the same with this menace to the country.
He has lost two elections, per the Popular Vote, and will Lose a third. ATTACK Him, Project 2025, His Conviction, His Grifter family and all his Business & Presidential Failures.
Speaking of Big Lies, the psy-op that Trump and the GOP have engaged in for the last 3.5 years that January 6 was not a coup attempt and not an insurrection and definitely not the thing we watched on TV, is something to behold. The commitment to the bit (that none of them believe) and the fact that so many people believe it is beyond disturbing. And this just out:
Once again, if the 2020 elections were really “rigged” or “stolen” - where is Trump v. Biden? It’s been done before (see Gore v. Bush). Statute of Limitations has not yet run. Somebody afraid to swear to tell the truth?
Good question. Trump's answer is probably that the courts are rigged too, as evidenced by the sad fate of all his challenges to the 2020 election results.
Susanna J. Sturgis is on point in raising the question of the courts. Whether they are rigged is one question. But whether they are guilty of gross professional misconduct and are not fit to be in the law business is not a question at all. The GOP 2020: Biden is an illegitimate president!
The GOP 2024: We want Joe! We want Joe!

Linda Weide is right to focus on the Supreme Court. Its nine members are guilty of professional misconduct and it is documented. You can take a look here: https://therunnymedereport.substack.com/p/the-supreme-court-buries-professional?r=3tdx2w

Darth Trump, Harbinger of Evil. Thank you, Mr Robinson, for putting it so clearly!

He's a fucked-up person. That's all there is to say. Lock him out, lock him up, dispense with him. We have to move on.
